Create a plan to develop job-related skills. He needs a dual enrollment program focusing on intense academics in the morning with socialization at school in the afternoon.
Specialized programs to improve reading and writing will increase his skills dramatically. This immediate, intense and individualized instruction is required to compensate him for the education he missed.
If he qualifies for special education, he’s entitled to educational services until the day he turns 22. Don’t give up. It’s not too late.
