Description

Topic - Regulatory Disorders.  Does your infant have sleep problems, colic and trouble soothing themselves?

If your baby is struggling to achieve these basic tasks, they may have a regulatory disorder.

These disturbances can be temporary, but may ultimately become sensory processing disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, mood disorders and autism.

Their difficulties don’t allow them to adapt to their ever-changing world and their irritability interferes in parent-child bonding.

A child who cries when touched or is difficult to manage may confuse parents because they didn’t expect this reaction.

When baby doesn’t respond with emotional give and take, parents aren’t rewarded and anxiety erupts.  Be aware that this behavior isn’t a choice, but a reflection of your baby’s sensory difficulties.

Educate yourself and adapt to create greater harmony between you and baby.
