The time spent in the womb creates the building blocks of a mind and body, that’ll carry you to the end. Elementary school builds the knowledge, learning strategies, and social interaction skills, that’ll last a life time.
If you’re illiterate, you’re unemployable. Where do you become literate? Where did Hemmingway learn to spell? Where did NASA scientists learn to compute? Elementary school.
In those early years you learned how to organize yourself, meet basic deadlines, how to stand in line, raise your hand, share your resources. You learned how to deal with adults who were in charge.
Let’s face it, the basics of everything you need to master life is taught in elementary school.
Parents, don’t under estimate these critical years. If your child isn’t measuring up, ask questions, get information, and take action.
