Babies born 10 week early have abnormal connections in the brain networks responsible for attention and emotional functioning. These areas don’t work together to focus on goals or regulate emotions.
It might be the case these children had brain issues in the womb and their diagnoses had nothing to do with being born early.
The problems might be triggered by stress, illness or toxic exposure.
