Topic - When Momma Ain’t Happy

You know that saying, “When Momma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy?”  As it turns out, it’s true and research proved it.

Kids, ages 9 to 17, were asked to rate their mood and physical health for consecutive days and compared them to their working mothers’ mood.

When mother was happy and relaxed, so were the kids.  They also reported better sleep quality and they slept for longer periods of time without waking.

My caution to you is this.  If you’re unhappy and stressed at work, you bring that stress home, the misery will spread and then, you’ll have serious stress at home.

It’s not easy to change jobs, but if you stay with a job, hoping things will change, your health and happiness will be seriously compromised and your family’s health will suffer.

It’s not their fault, but they’ll pay the price.

Another saying, “You’re only as happy as your unhappiest child” is also true and we don’t need research to prove it.
