Topic - Boys Take The Hit

Boys get hit four times in life before middle school.  The first is genetic.

Boys have XY chromosomes and girls have XX.  Girls have an extra “leg” on the chromosome to protect them from genetic disorders.

The second is that boys’ brains take a number of turns during development in order to make it male.

Girls take a straight shot to daylight.  Fewer brain problems.

The third factor is size. Boys are usually larger resulting in more complicated deliveries.

Finally, we don’t understand or tolerate boys the way they need us to. We make unrealistic expectations.

We diagnose their personalities and behaviors instead of giving them a wide berth and more time.

Help them deal with their young brains and busy bodies.  So much of what goes on with them is out of their control.

You can make or break them with your words and actions.  Be careful.
