Topic - ADHD and Fast Food
Feeding yourself a healthier diet requires planning, organizing, time management, selecting the items, not forgetting the most important ones, having enough money to cover the bill. If you have Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder with its usual planning and organization problems, your diet is likely fast food. Your ADHD brain needs protein, but craves sugars and fats. The more junk you eat, the worse you feel, the more problems you create for yourself. The cycle continues. Grocery stores have extensive hot and cold deli sections. Instead of pulling into a fast food joint, go into the market and get something hot and delicious. Get some extra to have for breakfast and take for lunch. It’s real food and it’s made fresh daily. Who cares if you go in there every other night? You may just end up bringing home some real groceries. Change your habits in tiny steps. Feel better!
