I’ve been an expert witness in many custody cases. You want to steer clear of that cottage industry known as custody evaluations. No professional can understand the intimate dynamics of a family through a single assessment. The answers to the most frequently used psychological tests have been posted online by parents’ groups. Now, those tools can’t be used to determine a parent’s mental health and competence to raise a healthy child. It’s a losing battle all the way around except for custody evaluators and attorneys. Don’t play and don’t pay. Find another way.
