Topic - Parents with ADHD.  When parents have untreated Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, there’s chaos in the family.

This is especially true when mother is the one with ADHD.  Running a home takes robust planning, anticipation and organization.

People with ADHD can have poor diets and often resort to fast food. Healthy diets require planning for the food, shopping for and preparing it. This kind of forward thinking is challenging for those with ADHD.

Doing laundry can be a crisis as it may take longer than anticipated resulting in having to turn Johnny’s underwear inside out so he can wear it another day.

When Dad fails to pick up Johnny after school, the police are called because he has been abandoned.

Mom didn’t sign the permission slip for the field trip, so Johnny stayed in the office all day. Johnny is left feeling insecure and embarrassed.
