You have to start early. Yes, 3 year olds can have chores. They can put the toys in the toy box and 5 year olds can wipe up spills and feed the pets.
Kids who are 7 can make salad and match up socks and 8 year olds can load the dishwasher and put groceries away. Your 10-year old can vacuum, clean bathrooms and make simple meals.
Kids 12 and up can do advanced chores such as laundry, grocery shopping, watching younger kids and making a complete meal.
