Topic - Police Procedure.  Your teenage driver has a great chance of getting a traffic ticket.

Before Noah goes out on his own, sit down and review the basics of being stopped by a cop.  Tell him that if it’s an honest mistake, he’ll have to pay for the costs by doing chores.

Explain that he will panic and be unable to think straight and the only thing he needs to know is do what the officer tells you to do.

Describe for him specifically that the officer will shine a bright light into the car to determine his safety because traffic stops can be dangerous for cops.

Noah should hold up his hands and dangle the keys to indicate he won’t flee.  The officer will run his plates and approach him cautiously.

Noah is to answer the questions respectfully without explaining.

If Noah gets a ticket, he needs to sign for it without complaint. Accepting the ticket is not an admission of guilt.

A traffic stop is a chance to learn an important lesson.  Be safe out there!
