Topic - It starts at 3:58 p.m. on Sunday
People start feeling the impending doom of the upcoming workweek on Sunday at 3:58 p.m. Why is this? We’re worried about what’s going to happen on Monday morning and we can’t let go of our work worries and obligations during the weekend. It takes us two hours to completely unwind on Friday once we get home. We’re also doing an average of 3 unpaid hours of work during the weekend. It’s even worse than that. Thoughts about work creep into our minds about 6 times during the weekend. Additionally, we spend about 4 hours taking care of chores including housework, errands and grocery shopping. A total of nine hours are spent on family and work responsibilities. We try to get some alone time, but that doesn’t usually work out. The best we can do is get some extra sleep. To combat our anxiety, prepare for Monday on Friday afternoon and take a digital detox over the weekend.
