On our return to the podcast, we were grateful to have been joined by Chris Dalman. Chris graduated from Palma High School in 1988, and he moved on to play football for Stanford University, where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. He then played for the San Francisco 49ers, where he won a Super Bowl in 1995. After his playing career, Chris moved on to coach for the Atlanta Falcons and Stanford University before returning back home to teach at Palma School, where he is now the President.
In this episode, we spoke about his journey up until this point in his life. We spoke about his upbringing, the hardships he faced, what football means to him, adapting to the different transitions in his life, and leadership. Finally, we touched a little bit on mental health and the importance of reaching out for help.
Chris mentioned that "It's okay to ask the world: How do you do this?" Especially when making transitions in our lives, it is okay to ask for help.
"It is really outdated to say that grown men can't show that they are having bad days." Remember everyone, you are not alone. Have Hope. Keep Going.
