Description

We finally made it to the first of many Daniel Jones episodes! Daniel Jones is the founding father of Twenty-First Century Townball and started it all in his January 2012 elective "Origins of the American Pastime" at University High School in Fresno, CA. Growing up as a missionary kid in Taiwan, he would occasionally return back home to the Midwest where, as he described it, "the spirit of Zumbrota, Minnesota" taught him not only how to enjoy American baseball, but how to be forthright and honest. This spirit is what Jones attempted to infuse into both the deliberate and piecemeal steps of creating 21st Century Townball with his students over a five year process, and this has set the tone for the culture of the game wherever he has traveled. Jones is a proud husband and a father of eight kids, and has been teaching secondary math for nearly twenty years. Townball is only one of his many accomplishments during that time, and he thanks God for the innumerable blessings he has received.
