Here we are at the end of Chapter 2: The Newberg Years! In this episode, Jones distills and differentiates the main conversations that took place over this chapter, most notably the 1) scalability of townball, 2) the new player experience, and 3) what kind of environment makes townball thrive. The sequence of these Chapter 2 episodes was very intentional, highlighting both sides of the debate on different topics. Jones puts them all together and shows how the freedom, strategy, teamwork, sportsmanship, and history of townball (aka the Townball Creed) is the sport's North Star amidst these debates. This was Jones' last podcast before moving to his new teaching job, so (if it's still 2023 when you read this) wish him well as he pursues his next adventure with townball in the lower Washington-Idaho area!
