Bishop Lance opens with a mindblowing statement as he reads from Luke 18. “If you are on the fence tonight, God’s coming for you–prodigals and older brothers alike! God loved the religious-minded, older brother just as much as the prodigal! He implores the church to not just know of Jesus, but to know him relationally, privately in prayer. He then continues to read in Luke and compare and contrast the two rich men in Luke 18:18 and Luke 19:1-10, and revealed which one actually KNEW Jesus! Bishop then warns of the ‘religious lip service’ of approaching a savior we do not actually know, reminding us that we reap what we sow, and challenging us to rid ourselves of compromise to live in the best that God has for us spiritually!
