Will Stein’s interviewee for this episode is Carwyn Morris. Carwyn recently completed his PhD in Human Geography and Urban Studies at LSE, passing without any corrections. His PhD was titled, ‘Life under chai: Spatial governmentality and practices of resistance in the digital and physical spaces of Beijing, China’. Carwyn grew up in North Devon and lived there until the age of 18 when he decided to move to the Gansu province in China to volunteer. At 19, Carwyn became an English teacher and continued to live in China until the age of 23.
