Will Stein’s interviewee for this episode is Thomas Smith. Tom is an Assistant Professor in Environmental Geography, specialising in interdisciplinary approaches to understanding the role of wildfires in the Earth system. His research focuses on wildland fire emissions in savannas, tropical peatlands, and UK moorlands. Tom is the Undergraduate Tutor in the Geography and Environment Department. Tom is also the course director for the undergraduate Environment programmes, BSc Environment & Development, and BSc Environmental Policy with Economics.
