Every teacher has had to battle with a class ending early.
Here are 5 things you can do to take control of the situation.
1. Review: Ask students what they have learned that day
2. Summarize: Ask students to summarize the day's lesson
3. Pair sharing: Ask them to write down either a review, summary or the sticky points they had in the lesson. Ask some students to share with the class
4. Connections: What connections are there in the lesson to the outside world
5. Thank the students: Thank them for doing a good job.
