Jesus' first act after the Sermon on the Mount is to heal a leper! This is shocking, for lepers were OUTCASTS and seen as physically and SPIRITUALLY UNCLEAN. Yet Jesus TOUCHES the leper and made him clean. Jesus' healing touch is FOR US! Jesus touches us so we may be made clean of the leprosy of sin.
