Hot on the heels of last week's episode, we round out our discussion on Cartoon Network's Steven Universe with discussions on both Steven Universe: The Movie (occurring two years after the events of Season 5) and Steven Universe: Future (a 1-season epilogue to the series). The Movie and Future keep nearly all of the great aspects of the original, like incredible music and excellent character development, while also introducing a completely new set of circumstances and issues that Steven has to tackle as he gets older and learns to live in a significantly changed world. In this episode we discuss the events of the movie, Steven's growth as a character, the ending to the series in Future, and optimal TV cartoon episode length (it does matter). One thing, however, is certain: this is a series that will be sorely missed, and is absolutely worth the watch. Content warning: SPOILERS, strong language.
