“Then Yahweh Elohim took the man and he put him in the garden of Eden in order to serve it and in order to guard it.” (Gen. 2:15; my translation)
A priest-judge is a temple-guardian, commissioned by the LORD to guard His holy presence from evil and to execute judgment on anything unclean that would defile His holy temple.
As we listen and read, let’s keep in mind these points:
