Born in Portland, Oregon, at a young age she worked with her dad in the family businesses. She attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA where she graduated with honors and bachelor’s degrees in political science and Spanish. After graduation, she worked as a paralegal in commercial real estate transactions and later in immigration law. She then became an elementary school teacher in Dallas-Fort Worth and finally re-joined the family business, King Realty & Management Inc.
