In this week's episode we talk with Dean Holden about critical reflection, what separates critical reflection from just reflection, questions to ask yourself, the role of a mentor in critical reflection and how to help players use critical reflection. 

Dean Holden, PhD in Sport Coaching (in progress), has been learning and operating within the coaching, teaching, and mentoring area since the early 1980's.  

He applies critical thought to solve problems and facilitate positive change within people and organizations.  

The best word to summarize his approach would be 'Pracademic' - one who translates the latest learning and performance research into proven, actionable strategies.

Along the way, Dean embeds life skills through sport because he strongly advocates that athletes have the right to enjoy a positive experience: have fun, learn, and want to return/give back!
