This week we welcome on Dr. Jia Yi Chow, Author of the book "Nonlinear Pedagogy in Skill Acquisition" written along with Keith Davids, Chris Button and Ian Renshaw. With Jia Yi we explore the relationship between The Constraints Led Approach and Nonlinear Pedagogy. Then we dive into the design principles of NLP that allow us practitioners to utilize the theory in our practice. We throw a couple of examples at Jia Yi and he explains how we would use the principles with a football example. We finish the conversation talking about the balance between linear and nonlinear environments and how Jia Yi teachers these ideas to his students in Singapore.
Jia Yi has given us a link to allow the first 50 people to access his new article in the Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy Journal.
