In this edition, I had a pleasure in catching up with an old friend of mine and that is Mac Allen. We met way before I went to Merrimack or even when we were both applying for colleges. He is an aspiring filmmaker, writer, director, and producer. Mac is a Senior at Ithaca College majoring in Film & Cinematography. He’s also made his mark so far by directing and writing his short film ‘In My Blood’ which received positive reviews, especially selected at a few local film festivals.
He’s currently the founder of Mutant Kid Creatives and also founded Neverland Natives Productions. Mac pushed himself on so many levels and I’m so proud of the incredible work he’s made especially as a creator. Because, trans people today are making big strives in the entertainment industry, especially with storytellers who wanted their stories to be heard and breaking the barrier by paving the way for others that aspire to be themselves. One day, when he makes big moves in Los Angeles directing big-name pictures, everyone will remember his name. Hope you enjoy this episode!
