It's difficult to be someone who is constantly treated as an outsider in their own country - and yes, America is our country. We grew up here, and although we root ourselves in our Asian ethnic backgrounds, we also want to say that we are also American through and through regardless the color of our skin. In this episode, we talk about the Atlanta spa shooting, how this hate crime stems much deeper than a "bad day," and why it is so important to us. We urge you - please listen and try to understand what we are saying because this is not a debate, a competition, or a war between the races. As human beings, we should all stand together in these trying times and spread love, not hate.
