In this episode, we chat with Sojourner (@thesojournies), an international social worker, educator, travel blogger, and freelance writer about travel privileges and a whole lot more. Sojourner has an IGTV series called “Let’s Unpack That” and on this episode we did a whole lot of unpacking.
“Let’s Unpack That” is all about processing and unpacking the baggage of social identities to understand how they impact travel experiences. While we focus on “unpacking” our travel privileges we also chatted about the importance of learning about locations you’re visiting, being mindful of where we spend our money (putting it back into communities), and taking travel from perspectives that aren’t the normal mainstream.
