On Season 2 of The Appeal Unfiltered, co-hosts Neima Abdulahi and Brii Renee sit down with Duke Deuce to discuss the future of crunk, fatherhood, and his journey.

Before signing to the label QC Duke Deuce started off posting rap videos on social media in 2015. “Offset discovered me online and brought me into the label,” shared Duke. Moreover, Deuce describes how it is imperative to move out of one’s hometown to grow. Duke Deuce grew up in Memphis, Tennessee where he believes started crunk. “Since 1992 Memphis has been getting crunk,” added Duke Deuce. Deuce mentioned how groups like Three 6 Mafia really influenced his sound coming up with songs like Tear da Club Up.

Duke Deuce is a great father and loves to have fun. “Fatherhood comes first before anything in life,” said Duke. In addition to that, Duke Deuce’s dance moves have inspired many to get up and dance, “We’d have meet and greets in every city that we traveled.”
