Today we’re going to talk about your pre-walkthrough. When possible, it’s good to do a virtual walkthrough of the house over the phone. It helps you get a good idea of the condition of the home, and more importantly, what the seller thinks the condition of the home is. The seller will often try to justify their price by describing the condition or other items, like decks, that they think add a lot of value. Don’t get too caught up in that and instead focus on the big items that could present problems for you or your end buyer.
