After nearly five months since UF Health said it would vaccinate its affiliates free of charge, UF began COVID-19 vaccinations for students, faculty and staff on Monday at Ben Hill Griffin stadium. Some students say they took the vaccine so they could see their families again. UF President Kent Fuchs was also at the event and said the vaccines are safe and vital for UF to be together again.
