The 7th grade history teacher is back, so get ready for some adult education. In this episode we discuss a term we've heard a lot of the last few years: "Nationalism."
I remember being a kid and fighting back tears when I heard "I'm Proud to be an American" playing on the speakers at my little league game. (I also teared up at Ray Boltz music videos, so I guess I was a softy.) We grow up pledging allegiance to the American flag and celebrating Fourth of July's proudly.
Is loving your country wrong? Or if it's not wrong, can it become dangerous? I invite you to listen in with an open mind as we discuss nationalism. (Sadly no Hamilton songs on this one. But maybe a little Les Mis.)
