It is impossible to miss what is going on right now in the country. Tensions are high and there are massive amounts of misinformation and bad reporting being offered. It’s easy to form opinions based off what we read on social media or hear on cable news, but there’s no substitute for having actual conversations with people. Carine Abraham was willing to talk with me about her story and her perspective on life in America as a Black woman. She was full of grace and humor while not avoiding convicting truths we all need to consider. It’s time to get off the internet and sit down with people we trust and have uncomfortable conversations.
