Jason McCoy may be one of Canada's most versatile Country Music Artists. With his solo career, he was named Male Vocalist of the Year at the Canadian Country Music Awards, has 3 SOCAN Song of the Year awards, 19 CCMA nominations and 5 Juno nominations (all for Best Country Male Vocalist). He was also awarded the Global Artist Award at the CMA Awards in Nashville.
In 2004 he formed The Road Hammers. A country rock group composed of Jason McCoy, Clayton Bellamy and Chris Byrne. The trio's music is influenced by 1960s and 1970s trucker music and Southern rock. Their first self-titled album was recognized with a Juno Award in 2006, along with numerous Canadian Country Music Association awards
