Massillon Ohio native Jeff Timmons is the founding member of the internationally acclaimed, multi-platinum, Grammy Nominated selling group 98 Degrees, which has sold over 15 million albums with 4 top 5 radio singles.
The group produced mega-hits such as “The Hardest Thing”, “I do”, “Because of You”, and the number one hit single featuring Mariah Carey called, “Thank God I Found You.” The group also collaborated with Stevie Wonder on the song, “True to Your Heart”, on the soundtrack for Disney’s hit animated feature Mulan. 98 Degrees’ albums have reached gold or platinum status in more than 60 countries around the world.
After his success with 98 Degrees, Jeff embarked on his solo career by touring with Jim Brickman, and then single-handedly wrote and produced his first solo album which was released as a joint venture with Rising Phoenix and SLG Music.
The album’s first single produced a top 20 hit on both the Billboard and R&R charts with the song, “Whisper That Way” which was among the most added singles at radio each week it was on the air.
In 2010 a single entitled “Emotional High” leaked to international radio and went #1 in 14 countries.
Jeff has performed at the White House twice, and has made appearances on The Grammy’s, The Tonight Show, The American Music Awards, The Teen Choice Awards, MTV’s Total Request Live, Dick Clark’s “Rockin New Year’s Eve Dick Clark’s “Rockin New Year’s Eve and many more.
In 2011, Jeff embarked as a solo artist on “The Greatest Hits Tour” in Southeast Asia, with international supergroups A1 and Blue. The tour was extremely successful, and was seen by tens of thousands of fans in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.
The 2013 blockbuster “Package Tour” with his fellow 98 Degrees and also featuring The New Kids on the Block, and Boyz II Men, sold out arenas in every city they visited. The Package Tour became the highest grossing tour of 2013.
98 Degrees released their first studio album in 13 years titled 2.0 before the tour kicked off in May 2013.
In November of 2013, Jeff took his project “Men of the Strip,” on a 42 city, sold out club tour, which caught the attention of the E! network, who subsequently filmed a docu-movie chronicling the cast. The show aired in May of 2014 for a debut audience of nearly 500,000 viewers, and continues to air around the world even today. To date, overall viewership of the movie hovers around 90 million worldwide.
In early 2015, Jeff released a dance single through Upscale/Dauman/Universal music called
“That Girl,” which was a commercial success.
Recently, Jeff executive produced a TV series called “Droned” for Discovery Science.
In the summer of 2016, 98 Degrees headlined the “My2K Tour” with openers Ryan Cabrerra, O-Town, and Dream, which was one of the season’s most successful tours.
Last Christmas 98 Degrees headlined the 32 city, 98 Degrees at Christmas Tour. Selling out shows across the nation in support of their 2nd successful Christmas album “Let it Snow,” released by Universal Music Group. The Christmas Tour was such a success, that the group has decided to do it again this year.
98 Degrees will continue touring this coming year in as many as 40 cities in the U.S.
