Another colleague of our friend Dee Dot out of Missouri named Jay Johnson joins us this week on episode 175! Jay is a DJ and producer who has found a way to always keep music involved in his journey even with a busy schedule and day to day life. He discussed picking up producing 5 years ago after already having experience as a DJ for many years. This has led him to create a wide array of tracks under his belt like the recently released instrumental album “Mosaic” which dropped this past summer. He discusses the importance of releasing solo projects to help catch the attention of artists he’d like to work with while also allowing him to showcase his love for different genres and styles. Having come from a military background Jay knows the importance of time management and he talks about how he’s able to continue to create as a family man and traveling worker while still maintaining a good balance across all aspects of his life.
