Description

One of the most high profile mix engineers in music at the moment is David Yungin Kim out of Los Angeles. Having worked his way up the ranks at Chalice recording studios he’s now one of the lead men mixing for the likes of Dom Kennedy, Benny The Butcher, Jay Park and many more. Now on a 4 plus year run with producer Hit-Boy he just took home his third Grammy award for mixing the entire “King’s Disease” album by the legendary rapper Nas. He reflects on his road to success so far and revealed plans to help in his home land of South Korea by providing some opportunities to upcoming music makers that want to pursue a career out of their passion. David’s a busy man these days so we’re happy to have been able to get some of his wisdom. Be on the lookout for much more of his work throughout 2021 and beyond!
