When you think of comeback stories there’s plenty that might come to mind. One of our favorites from a close friend is that of Oklahoma based rapper War Mothershed who joined us this week on the show! Following a workplace accident in early 2021 that nearly left him paralyzed he recalls his remarkable recovery both physically and mentally that he’s now been channeling into his new music for 2022. On top of this War has also started his own podcast titled “Growth Is Hard” talking to local friends, family members and collaborators about not only music but the overall journey of life and its challenges and blessings. Having already dropped a few new songs including “Only Child” and a collab with fellow Oklahoma singer Nia Moné titled “Tension” War’s revival as an artist and as a person altogether is something we look at with the utmost respect and admiration.
