In this episode of Global Ed Chat, we dive into the International Student Mentorship Program (ISMP) at Durham College, a unique initiative designed to support first-semester international students as they transition into college life thousands of kilometers from home.
We pair new international students (mentees) with experienced upper-year students or alumni (mentors) – either from abroad or local to Durham College. These mentors serve as a valuable resource to answer questions, offer guidance, and help their mentees adjust to life on campus. Whether it’s finding the right student service, getting advice on classes, or simply being a friend, mentors help make the journey a little less overwhelming.
If you’re an international student, interested in becoming a mentor, or just curious about how ISMP makes a difference, tune in now!
