SteelSharpnSteel is a black hub where black excellence meets black mediocrity. Our goal is to bring awareness to our community and display victory on all horizons. #SteelSharpnSteel will continue to embrace our culture, the Black culture!

On this episode, our guest, founder of Spirit Of A Women Inc and the producer of “The Mother Wit Conference“, joined us to discuss her journey with trauma and healing. While balancing the art of mastering emotional intelligence, Shawnee Gibson opens up about her personal experiences with her childhood, the impact of racism, and the dealings of programmed conditioning today in the black community. During this conversation, Shawnee breaks down the differences between emotions we've developed as children growing up in the black household. How to identify your emotions and understanding how to communicate your emotions to others. Shawnee makes it clear that it is a process and if we want results, we must understand that emotional intelligence is a process it is ongoing and eternal. Ms.Gibson not only displays strength but hope for other strong black women.

With the current pandemic in place, we also spoke on how COVID -19 has personally affected her, her emotions & the journey of balancing her career and personal life.  Thank you for tuning in and we hope you enjoy it. Love Is Love!
