Life Tree delivers mental health services to its clients, who may be self-referred or referred by an employee assistance program. Life Tree Counseling also accepts many insurance plans, as well as self-pay clients.
Kathleen mentors counseling interns and new counselors on the ins and outs of how to run a successful private practice. Since 1992, Kathleen and the Life Tree family have successfully equipped and launched 30 mental health professionals into their own successful practices; the average stay with her being seven years. She takes special pride in knowing that the counselors she mentors will be successful therapists.
Kathleen is also a partner in Practicementors.us, a training site for therapists. In addition to her expertise as a licensed professional counselor, Kathleen has a special interest in the business side of mental health care. She conducts events that cover a myriad of topics of interest to Texas mental health professionals, including: business protocol, office operations, business start-up tips and suggestions, and legal considerations. Many of these topics are presented by professionals in their fields.
