The panel featured award-winning author Kate Grenville, curator Sophie Gerhard from the National Gallery of Victoria and sculptor and visual artist Andrew Whitehead, talking about the iconic Australian painting Shearing the Rams. The panel discussed the importance of the Tom Roberts painting and what it says about our ideas of regional Australia.
The Story of the Shearer occurred at the Albury LibraryMuseum on Sunday 15 September 2024 and was moderated by Annie Brown from ABC Goulburn Murray.
