Sunday Sermon by Kevin Jensen — In Revelation 19, Jesus appears not as the suffering servant or our great sacrificial lamb, but as the mighty warrior who is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. To say that Jesus is King and Lord was dangerous in the cultural context of the churches to which Revelation was written, for only the Roman emperor could be called Lord of all. For Christians, though, Jesus is Lord and King above all others, and so we give him our highest loyalty and obey him above all others. Text: Revelation 19:11-16
