Shakespeare in the Village is an experience involving food, entertainment and a flavor of a mini-Renaissance festival. It’s a picnic and a play. For the year 2023, we will be performing "Much Ado About Nothing." Interested in the show, but want to know more about the characters? Then this is the episode for you! This is a collaboration between two Non-profits in Southern Minnesota - The Albert Lea Community Theatre (ACT) and the Freeborn County Historical Museum, Library, and Village (FCHM).
Join us at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center for auditions for Shakespeare’s classic comedy “Much Ado About Nothing.” The play will be performed outdoors as part of Shakespeare in the Village on Aug. 20(matinee), 24, 25 and 26 at the Freeborn County Historical Museum. Must be 14 or older to audition, and no prior theatre experience necessary. Readings will be provided at auditions, so no other preparation is required.
