We also get a bit more context on the January 1910 smallpox saga in Walnut Cove (http://newspapers.digitalnc.org/lccn/sn91068291/1910-01-12/ed-1/seq-5/) involving Joe Allen (alleged smallpox carrier), D.P. Reid, and disease denier "Old Timer".
