There’s been a lot of talk about what an ideal South Asian (desi) girl should be like over the years and this conversation has definitely resurfaced thanks to the Netflix show Indian Matchmaking
I’m joined by Manveer, a Bhangra dancer and food blogger to talk about these cultural ideas that people think girls in south asian communities should uphold.
We talk about aunty culture, how girls and guys are treated differently, the pressure to get married and also the phrase “fair, slim and trim”
Just want to say thanks to Manveer for joining me on this episode, I really enjoyed our conversation.
