He emphasizes that no matter how impressive our background is, it won't get us to God. He also talks about Cornelius' remarkable spiritual traits and his obedience in following the vision he was given immediately. Additionally, Boyd discusses Peter's hesitation in going with the three men sent by Cornelius until God spoke directly to him. Finally, Pastor Boyd encourages those who have not yet committed their lives to Jesus to do so right away--like Cornelius did--so that they can experience all the benefits of a relationship with Him.
