This week, I'm talking with Spencer Mahoney, VP of Operations at Atomic Coffee Roasters, a coffee roastery located in Salem, MA. Their mission? To spread positive energy. For over two decades, the Mahoney family has used coffee as a catalyst for inspiring community, relationships, and adventures.
In this episode, Spencer shares how his uncles started Atomic Cafe in the mid-'90s and what it was like working at Atomic Cafe growing up. He also shares how they recently split the cafe's roasting division after his father got involved in the business. After splitting the cafe and the roastery, Spencer describes how they have developed and scaled their business model over the last two decades.
