This week, I'm talking with Masha Amelina, a Certified Physician Assistant and Founder of Visage Sculpture, the Premiere Cosmetic Clinic of Newton. Visage Sculpture specializes in non-surgical face shaping.
Originally from Russia, Masha moved to the U.S. at 17 and has always dreamed of becoming a plastic surgeon. After working in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Boston Medical Center, Masha decided to start her own company.
Throughout our conversation, Masha shares her experience of what it was like driving hours away to meet her first few clients and why years later, she is grateful for all the long hours put in and all the people she has met along the way.
We also discuss the importance of empowering people and making them feel beautiful. By preserving natural beauty rather than following the hottest trend, Masha believes in leading with authenticity and integrity. Her Rule of Thumb? "If I wouldn't do this to myself, my mom, or my friend, I'm not going to offer it to you."
