This week, I'm talking with Robyn Riseberg, Founder of Boston Community Pediatrics (BCP). Boston Community Pediatrics was founded in November 2020 and is the first nonprofit pediatric private practice of its kind in Massachusetts. Providing primary care services, BCP also offers mental health resources, fitness, nutrition, and after-school programming.
By providing individualized care and leveraging asset-based, relationship-driven approaches to improve health outcomes and lower health care costs, BCP can provide healthcare for all patients, regardless of socioeconomic status or background.
Throughout our conversation, Robyn discusses what it was like working in the medical field 15-years before founding BCP and how traveling to India and Thailand pushed her to want to help people. In 2019, Robyn knew she wanted to "bring equity to pediatric healthcare," thus creating the vision for BCP. Robyn and I also discuss the importance of leading with your passion and why you should continue to pursue your goals and dreams despite negative feedback.
